Adult Lubricants

Slip, slide, and guide with AdultShop’s wide range of personal lubricants

When it comes to the bedroom, fluid movements are all we desire, and lubricant is the best tool to get you there. It’s time for us to leave the rhetoric that lube is for vaginal dryness behind us. Using lube in the bedroom not only reduces friction and increases arousal, but it can also make sex more enjoyable, regardless of your age, gender, or sexual experience.

If you’re not already using lubricants, never fear! When shopping for lubricants, you’ll need to think about what types are best for you. Lubricants come in a variety of bases, such as water, silicone, and oil. They are all safe and recommended for all forms of sex. From our flavoured range to our natural and organic selection, we are sure you are guaranteed to find the perfect product!

What is the difference between water-based, oil-based, and silicone-based lubricants?

Using a lubricant in the bedroom can make sex more enjoyable and pleasurable. Still, with so many options out there, it can be overwhelming to decipher what product to purchase! Unsure about the differences between types of lube?

  • Water-based lubricants are safe for all of your sexual desires and ideal for sensitive skins. These products are great for using sex toys (link) and won’t stain the sheets. Whilst great for everything else, we don’t recommend using water-based lubricants in the shower as they’ll just wash away!
  • Silicone-based lubricants are longer-lasting and require less re-application. Made to last for those longer sessions; these lubes are great for shower sex or masturbation and are safe to use with most condoms. One thing to note: silicone-based lubes might need a bit more elbow grease, soap and water to remove.
  • Oil-based lubricants double up as being great for sex AND good for your skin! Oil provides a slippery, softer feel that will last longer than standard water-based lube and are a great addition to sensual massages. Oil-based lubricants shouldn’t be used with latex condoms because they can damage or break the condom and are also more likely to stain clothing or sheets.
