What are the different types of anal lube?

Just like a standard lubricant, anal lubes come in a range of types for different uses and experiences. Making a decision on which lube to buy can get confusing and it often depends on what toy you’re using and what you’re actually doing.

The water-based anal lube is the perfect, all-rounder lubricant. Water-based anal lubes are formulated to be thicker and more durable than standard lubricants and is the most popular choice for anal toys and beginners to anal sex.

Silicone-based anal lubricants are smooth, silky and perfect for advanced anal players. Silicone-based lubes are often more slippery and not as thick as water-based lubes. Remember though, silicone-based lubricants are safe for condoms, but shouldn’t be used on your silicone sex toys.

What is the difference between normal and anal lube?

How do you clean up lube?

So, the party is over and it’s time for clean-up duty. Like most of us, cleaning is a chore. Lubricants are designed to be easy to apply and easy to clean. The only difference is how much elbow grease you need to remove the lubricant. Oil-based lubricants often absorb into the skin, so any excess may just need to be removed with soap in the shower. Silicone-based lubricants are often touted as the hardest to remove, but soap and water will do the trick! Water-based lubricants simply will wash away in the water.
